Anyway a few clanmates and I play on the ninjaserve... um server, from time to time

This latest time I had a bad experience with an admin, Toot_Yes_Shower_NO. The map was just starting and being a semi slow loader always miss that first and most of the time second jet when on the Chinese side of Dalian Plant. When I check the map I see that there is only one plane in the air so the other must be spawning soon...

Now there is a rule on the server stating no stealing others vehicles and my understanding may be a bit different.

So I walk over to the hanger and Toot_Yes_Shower_NO is also waiting for a plane, being that it is the start of the map and the plane will be "spawning" I do not consider this stealing, rather getting lucky and getting the jet first.

Jet spawns, got in, and was going to take off but Toot_Yes_Shower_NO is standing in front of the plane. I do my best to slowly start and go around but received the -2 points for teamdamage (luckily did not kill him) and was none to happy. As I talked about it on my clan's teamspeak one of the guys told me that Toot_Yes_Shower_NO had typed if I take "his" plane he will kick me (my only warning).

Not having seen his message I could not think that someone would actually kick for that, but was wrong and only got one kill in the jet before he kicked me (~30 sec).

That round, not sure if Toot_Yes_Shower_NO had a jet the whole time, he finished with -1 total score, 1 kill, and 12 deaths. Basically whatever he was doing he did not help the team whatsoever, including the kicking of someone trying to give air support.

I tryed to type and ask why and yada yada but maybe Toot_Yes_Shower_NO did not see my typing as well. After rejoining I might add which takes considerable time for me + the 1min kick time.

Now I am a big fan of no stealing vehicle rules but how does that apply when it is spawning. Is there a mod on the server that puts a graphic with his name on the jet?

Long story short:
- Kicked for what I thought was a bogus reason (tell me if I am wrong)
- An admin stood in front of my plane to force team damage (which I consider a$$hattery)

In my opinion he should be stripped of admin privies at least for a period of time if not indefinetly.

Thanks for the quick response. Do you mean that first to the hanger gets the plane or first to get in the newly spawned?

If the latter can I assume some action will be taken then?

all vehicles and aircraft are first come, first served...meaning the first one waiting is the one entitled to the vehicle. he was within the rules. him standing in front of the plane was probably him trying to get your attention, not to get you negative points.

rgr on what Horsepower (aka "The Man") said. All vehicles are First Come, First Serve. Even at the begining of a map. If you have problems with other players taking your vehicles/aircraft, please let an admin know. This rule is splashed in the server messages. Please keep in mind that if the aircraft/vehicle has only 1 seat, then only one player can wait. 2 seats 2 players... etc etc.

one other point.. as for Toots score.. it doesnt matter what anyones score is.. People of all skills are welcome to play on our server.. As long as everyone follows the rules they can use any vehicle they wish.. score is irrelevant. If you wish to use a vehicle that someone is using.. wait your turn. I find that people end up giving up on the waiting and pursue other avenues.. and the plane, tank, apc or whatever, more than likely remains yours for the rest of the map..

I can see how you could be unclear. If you'd like to suggest how we could word the rule better, I'm all ears. It has to be very short though, so it can fit in the server message.

I can understand your frustration, but judging by the date this post was made, let me elaborate on mine. On almost every map, people were doing one of 2 things that day. mouthing off, or taking jets from me. You were not the only one i kicked, so please dont take it personal. Much like it frustrates you to wait for a jet, think about how it would frustrate the person that was paitently waiting for that jet for a few minutes.

I don't usually, i try to be fair, but the fact is that day I had enough of it and started to enforce. I was not trying to give neg points and if i did stand in the way, i probably did it because i was trying to get your attention in the hopes you would have read my message. I beleive it said something along the lines of

"PLEASE DONT TAKE THAT JET ITS FIRST COME FISRT SERVE AND I DONT WANT TO KICK YOU"

Because that day that is what happened to me over and over and over and over again.

As for score, I could care less about score. I dont really require points to have fun, but i more than likely was having a bad day and after having to kick, several people that day, probably did not really care much about my score.

I think what i am trying to say is, i am sorry that you are mad, and I am also sorry that you may have misunderstood the server rules, but they are the rules and while i did not want to kick you, you left me no choice.
as far as having my admin rights removed, I think you are entitled to that opinion, but i have a pretty good track record of being fair and just when admining our servers.

No hard feelings game on and look forward to seeing you on the server.
