i just got it and think its a pretty damn good deal. i dunno just thought id share. it took about a week to arrive but its unreal... wait the one i got is 2 ms response... maybe never mind. not a very good revue huh?

too rich for my blood. there is a great local reseller a couple miles from me that gets thousands of items off lease. i pick up a used monitor if i need one. cheap! and i'm still partial to the old CRTs.

Hmm...never heard of KDS. Do you have any burnt out pixels yet? Alot of outside companies dont make quality products...so you cant really trust them. Another warning is that A LOT of companies lie about how fast their lcd screen is. It might say 2ms...but in reality its really 20ms. There is an article about it somewhere in pcworld or toms hardware guide I believe....thats one of the reasons you dont buy brands you dont know of. Great price with a mail in rebate, and best of all...its a well known brand, samsung. Also it supports HDCP and with a HDCP gpu you will be viewing high def on your monitor while running vista.

My first big monitors at work were KDS CRT's - those things were awesome. Of course, this was before LCD's. The color was nearly perfect and they had unbeatable service. This was about six years ago, though, so who knows how good they are now, but they used to be a very high quality company.

I definitely like the color on CRT much more than Flat Screens. They are getting a lot better, but there is still a comparison and compromise to make. I still use my 17" CRT and run it on 1280x1024.
