Well the miracle happened and that TeamSpeakOverlay works now for me. I guess it was just some reboots away. It is awesome. Makes it a lot easier to learn to know all of you guys. See you tomorrow again.

still not working..i did everything...enable it..btw my login name is diff than my nickname...which one do i have to type in the tso beta?

Exactly what is displayed in the TS2 screen as your name.
What I remember I did:

- I toggled the Debug setting, tried again, toggled the Alternative DX method, tried again, toggled them back, changed the font size to 12 and then 14 and then back to 10, and then shut down and next day I rebooted and tried with those basic recommended settings from this thread and it worked. I do not know which magic spell from the above did the trick, but try everything and then change back and it may start working, and try with a fresh boot without touching the settings, just start TSO, click Enable, start TS2, join channel, start BF2142, nothing else. Oh and I also went to driver settings and clicked upgrade, but there was no later version available, so I did not upgrade, but who knows with windows, maybe that did something.

Ok found solution to this problem of not being able to get back to game after alt-tabbing to different applications. I had renamed the Dice.bik movie to something else. After renaming it back, alt-tab works fine!
